implementing the foundations of a circular economy from Japan's largest metropolitan areas.

2007
Founded
RECOTECH CO., LTD. is established, and we begin working on the front lines of resource circulation.
2020
Relaunch as a startup
Raised external funding and relaunched as a startup. Began development of pool.
2021
Partnership with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government
Signed a partnership agreement with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for plastic resource circulation.
2022
Selected for an AEPW-supported project
Selected for a project supported by AEPW (the Alliance to End Plastic Waste).
2024
Pre-Series A and ICC win
Closed a Pre-Series A round. Won the Startup Catapult at the ICC Summit.
2025
Partnership with the City of Yokohama
Signed a partnership agreement with the City of Yokohama for digital waste management. Moving to city-scale implementation.
2026
Series A and scaled deployment
Closed a Series A round. 1,200 sites live across the City of Yokohama.
Won the Grand Prix at TAKANAWA PITCH 2026.
